Via Mike "Most of what I have seen on Fox News tonight has been shallow virtue signaling without knowing enough of the relevant facts and underlying causes to make a useful social or moral judgement. Judge Jeanine did interview a Vanderbilt professor, Dr. Carol Swain, a black woman, who seemed to have the social and political causes right. She clearly articulated that "alt-right" and "white nationalist" are not based on white supremacism and that whites have legitimate grievances against two decades of increasingly heavy-handed politically correct social ideology and government.
Given the uncertainty of facts and causes known and the Salem Witch Trial hysteria of the media and politicians, I would give Trump an A- on his statement on the Charlottesville tragedy. Charlottesville was a terrible tragedy with many classes of culprits and sub-plots, but the solution is not political hysteria and more politically correct suppression of ordinary Americans who feel their rights, culture, freedom, and future are being crushed by the cultural Marxism of the Left and the unfeeling and arrogant ethical deafness and blindness of the Republican establishment."
There can be no further delusions nor any more comforting lies. “America” and the supposed “freedoms” guaranteed by its Constitution are as relevant today as the Holy Roman Empire’s claims to sovereignty or the head of the House of Stuart boasting about being King of England.
In Charlottesville, Virginia, the police department openly attacked a demonstration in defense of European-American heritage. They did these despite the Unite The Right rally having secured a permit (after legal action) and having every right to host its peaceful demonstration in defense of the Robert E. Lee statue.
