Florida school ditches Common Core and then quickly soars to number one

A school in Florida that dumped the Common Core program in favor of traditional teaching methods has soared to the number one position in the State’s top schools list, according to government statistics.

Mason Classical Academy, a charter school in Naples, Florida, decided against forcing kids to learn the Obama endorsed Common Core method of teaching, due to the way it deliberately dumbs down children and created unnecessary and complicated methods for working out relatively simple problems.

  1. Only a few changes will fundementally change our schools. Every educational “improvement” since 1950 had done nothing but make students dumber. Our students are so bombarded with classed that have nothing to do with learning. These are designed only for social engineering. Textbooks have followed the new teaching methods and incorporated the social engineering. Technology needs to be taught, not lived in the classrooms. Last reimpose discipline in the schools.

Change 1: Revert back to historic teaching methods from the 1950s.

Change 2: Restore classic subjects and eliminate the others.

Change 3: Eliminate modern textbooks, reprint classic textbooks from the 1950s.

Change 4: Ban all technical devices for students from school grounds.

Change 5: Zero tolerance for misbehavior.

If you attended school in the 1950s and 1960s. What happens in todays schools are unbelievable. It is no wonder children graduate high school with at best an 8th grade education. I know when I helped my granddaughter when she was in college. Her college classes were not as advanced as what I did in high school. She could not believe what I learned in high school. She was in her 2nd and 3rd year of college, learning what I did in 11th and 12 grades.

  2. I'll state the obvious here since no one seems to want to go near it, if that picture is of the actual student body - the demographics are a HUGE factor in those improvement numbers.
