Quang Nguyen On Socialism/Communism

4 comments:

  1. Someone living off $220 is usually self-sufficient or trading within a small community. I don't know how "Communism" was though.

The market is efficient in part due to specialisation. Ironically, self-sufficient peasants living in a village are likely very conservative, even if also very poor.

It's a trick question for a "Socialist" to name an achievement, because no society is ever good enough for them to claim it as truly "socialist".

I like how Nguyen highlights how there's still a ruling class in every "Socialist" society, and that ruling class is *rich*.

Precisely and the Communist Vietnamese government makes the Thieu government look lily whit. Unbelievable.

  2. The cousin's example is actually very good. That guy isn't so "simple".

The following comments on greed not improving under socialism is also good.

Fun video: It's not fanatically libertarian, just anti-socialist.
