The fuse on this issue has been burning for more than a score of years. Some of the wreckage of the coming explosion has yet to occur, but aspects of the crisis are plainly evident; the foundational nation of laws concept is already compromised via Sanctuary cities.
Sanctuary cities are evidence of the damage done to America because Congress has failed in its responsibility to legislate, and the Executive branch has failed in its enforcement of law. But even worse, the states and cities have decided to take the “law” into their own hands and literally ignore, and in some cases help violators to prosper and survive! So what exactly qualifies an entity or person to act officially contrary to law? Is vigilante justice ok because the criminal justice system is in cardiac arrest?
Further, the present system is so contorted that laws intended to defend citizens rights are being used to defend law breakers who are not citizens! The actual sovereignty of this nation is challenged because our borders seem to have no meaning in terms of who may enter this nation. While some use 11 million, Katie Pavlich used the figure of 22 million on FOX NEW SUNDAY and was NOT challenged by Chris Wallace or anyone else.
