Just one day after a gun-rights rally in Pittsburgh that attracted hundreds of gun owners protesting the city’s proposed “assault weapons” ban, Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf voiced his support for a complete ban on all semi-automatic weapons.

When asked by KDKR Newsradio host Larry Richert whether the state of Pennsylvania should restrict or eliminate semi-automatic weapons, Gov. Wolf responded, “I think they should. I support that. Those are the weapons that killed those innocent people in Squirrel Hill and have done so much damage in schools and in places all around the country. We shouldn’t have those [guns].”

  1. "We shouldn’t have those [guns].” "We", Governor? So your security, State and local law enforcement will be subject to the SAME LAWS as the People they SERVE? Because no one is above the law, right Governor? --Ron W

    1. The highly paid media interrogators never nail candidates and public officials with basic questions like that? NEVER are they held to their basic duties to serve UNDER the delegated powers of the People whose rights are invioable! --Ron W

They have issued 500K deer permits this year.

    5. "They have issued 500K deer permits this year."

Well, those are "hunting rifles" which, for now, the ruling elites will let you keep. And they have a data base (licenses) of who many who almost certainly have "hunting rifles". But recall Charles Whitman, 1966, in the University of Texas tower who used one as an "assault weapon" for mass murder. All they need is a "lone nut" shooter using a bolt-action scoped rifle in a similar event to say these "dangerous weapons" have no place in the hands of the people--but only with police, fedgov and military sharpshooters. --Ron W

    6. Yes and I believe I read that the most popular deer rife in NC is the M-15.

  3. Once upon a time, Democrats, particularly Southern Democrats were the Constitutionalists who were "classical liberals" who supported the Bill of Rights as written and gun rights. I remember just 10-15 years ago, here in Tennesse, some of the most pro gun Legislators were Democrats. But no more! Just a few years ago, us gunners were told. "You're paranoid!", "no one wants to take your guns". But now, Democrat presidential candidates and politicians are calling for "red flag laws" confiscation with jail and death for those who refuse to GIVE UP THEIR RIGHTS (2nd, 4th and 5th Amendments)!

And today, April 19, is Patriots Day when the British troops came to disarm the People in 1775 beginning the American Revolution. Now that is despised and never mentioned. But look at this letter by JFK, a classical liberal and pro gun Democrat:
Letter from President John F. Kennedy to the NRA President:

    March 20, 1961

    Dear Mr. Orth:

On the occasion of Patriots Day, I wish to offer my contgratulations and best wishes to the National Rifle Association of America which over the past years has done credit to our country by the outstanding achievements of its members in the art of shooting.

Through competitive matches and sports in coordination with the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice, the Association fills an important role in our national defense effort, and fosters in an active and meaningful fashion in THE SPIRIT OF THE MINUTEMEN.

I am pleased to accept Life Membership in the National Rifle Association and extend to your organization every good wish for continued success.

    Sincerely,

    John Kennedy

  4. Yes! JFK would be banished by today's Democrats, probably like former Virginia Sen. James Webb.

I recall that John F. Kennedy and Barry Goldwater, a pro Liberty Republican, "extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice") were fellow senators and good friends. As the story goes, they had actually planned to campaign together in the 1964 presidential campaign and hold open debates among the people at campaign stops. I think the "deep state" considered them both dangerous. --Ron W
