Trump Drains The Swamp, Keeps His Promise with Judge Justin Walker

Via Billy

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., talks with Justin Reed Walker on Wednesday July 31, 2019.

President Trump continues his record-breaking transformation of the federal judiciary with the selection of Judge Justin Walker -- a young, brilliant conservative legal mind and everyday American -- for the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Walker, a new federal trial judge in Louisville, Kentucky, is a first-generation college graduate, an outside-the-beltway legal powerhouse, and a committed constitutionalist who understands a judge’s modest, but critical, role is to interpret the law as written -- not how that judge wishes it were written if he were a senator. Very few Trump could pick for this sought-after seat would better demonstrate the president’s commitment to draining the swamp.

  1. I care far less about judges who interprets laws as written then I am about the refusal of judges to compare those laws to the words and intent of the Constitution and overturn those that violate it. If judges would toss all the laws that directly contravene the Constitution we'd have 90% fewer laws and 1000% more freedom. Till that happens.... don't hold your breath....the judiciary is at best a joke.

  2. Thomas Jefferson identified the federal judiciary, even in his day, as the branch which would bring about the "dissolution of the Republic" by their "erroneous biases". He said their judgements should be according to the express meaning if the words" of the Constitution. That is done by simply being willing to submit oneself to "the Supreme Law of the Land" reading it objectively according to the rules of English grammar and historical context. it comes down to that basic level of having the government obey and uphold the law and protecting the Liberty of the People. --Ron W

  3. If only the other two branches of government, and to some extent the states, had remained jealous of their power and upheld their oath and duty to God and country we would not be subjected to a what can only nee seen as a royal judiciary. There is plenty of Constitutional ammo yet they seem to cowardly or complicit to use it. One can only ponder as to why that remains the reality.

    Y'all have a nice day.
