A 74-year-old Vietnam veteran named Pete Lopez died of Covid-19 on Monday after a Houston, Texas hospital refused to treat him with ivermectin as prescribed by his doctor and ordered by a judge.
Lopez’s granddaughter Gabrielle Snider told Fox 26 Houston, “We are taking this time to grieve and process.”
After the war veteran went to a VA hospital, his doctor prescribed the Nobel Prize-winning drug Ivermectin, but Lopez was admitted to the hospital before he picked up his prescription.
While at Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, Lopez was put on a ventilator on August 19th.

You know, I don't understand why the family didn't go to the
ReplyDeletepharmacy and pick up the prescription and take it to the hosp
and give it to their loved one. The hosp did not have to know.
I've done such before.
Good points and I have taken cold beers to friends in the hospital where it was slugged down and I then took the empty back.
DeleteMe, too. Gin soaked in raisins for a month. Anti-inflammatory agent. He couldn't pee; was peeing in 20 minutes so he could go home.
DeleteGin soaked in raisins for a month.
DeleteNever heard that and thanks.
I don't think hospitals let anyone visit with Covid patients. They don't at our local hospital.
ReplyDeleteThanks and I imagine you are correct. They could if suited up, I believe.
DeleteWow. Straight up ignoring the prescribed treatment of a primary care physician and the direct orders of a judge? If the doctors and nurses who are responsible for this bullshit are fired and stripped of their licenses, at the very least, then there isn't any hope left for anyone served by this hospital.
