One migrant flips the woman’s hair. A second migrant is there for back up.

Two more migrants come over to help their buddies.

There has been something of an uproar recently by a handful of black actors and directors regarding their view that the recently announced Academy Awards nominations were, for the second year in a row, “too white.”

Several of these race-baiters have vowed to boycott the Oscars ceremony because they believe that blacks in the entertainment industry aren’t receiving the same recognition as whites.

But black actress-turned-conservative political and social commentator Stacey Dash is not among those who will be boycotting, and she addressed the absurdity of the planned boycott during a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends.”

The Untold Story of Reconstruction

 

Widely praised for his 2009 Cotton and Race in the Making of America, author Gene Dattel recently wrote an article titled “The Untold Story of Reconstruction,” in the September 2015 edition of The New Criterion.

Although predicting that the present Reconstruction Sesquicentennial shall result in “reams of material blaming the South for our racial conundrum” he concludes that all the “issues of Reconstruction circle back” to the toxic “attitudes of the white North toward blacks.” After commenting upon how the present demonization of Confederate symbols contrasts with the respectful reconciliation of opposing leaders such a Grant and Lee, Dattel cogently observes that while white Northerners may have opposed race-based slavery they disdained free blacks and wanted them excluded from society.

Anyone who reads this blog knows that I am no fan of the Bush clan, an as incompetent a lot of inbred political hacks as there ever were. That doesn't change the fact however that through the entire arc of W's presidency the disdain, bile and open hatred that flowed out of the political left towards him reached new depths of incivility. So frequent was it that it took on a name of its own; Bush derangement syndrome.

The symptoms of the disease my have gone into remission somewhat upon his leaving office but the methodology of thee virus, the intellectual cancer itself never really went away, like any other retro viruses and cancers it metastasizes throughout the body (politic) only to be called forth by the self described wizards of political sorcery when the next target appeared to threaten their grip on their current interpretation of political orthodoxy.

That target is now of course Donald Trump.

“We’ll remember in November”

A small plane flying the Confederate flag buzzed the Capitol on Tuesday, protesting bills that would ban the flag's display from public property.

The aerial display, sponsored by the Florida chapter of Save Southern Heritage, included a banner with the message, “We’ll remember in Nov.,” a reference to this year's election.

“We’re hoping to bring attention to this issue so that the legislators will know there will be a political price to pay for being deniers of the truth of Florida’s history,” said David McCallister of Tampa, a spokesman for the group.

Nor is it for those who are easily offended, readily intimidated or who need everything wrapped in a neat and tidy bow. Free speech is often messy, foul-mouthed, obscene, intolerant, undignified, insensitive, cantankerous, bawdy and volatile.

While free speech can also be tender, tolerant, soft-spoken, sensitive and sweet, it is free speech’s hot-blooded alter ego—the wretched, brutal, beastly Mr. Hyde to its restrained, dignified and civil Dr. Jekyll—that tests the limits of our so-called egalitarian commitment to its broad-minded principles.
Unfortunately, our appreciation for a robust freedom of speech has worn thin over the years.

German authorities may deport thousands of Ukrainian asylum seekers in the immediate future if Berlin recognizes Ukraine as a "safe country of origin", the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau reported.

The newspaper recalled that earlier, more than 7,000 Ukrainians had applied for asylum in Germany due to the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Germans 'betray own people to a future of bloodshed

A fear of provoking xenophobia caused German police and politicians to keep secret the enormous crime problem among North African migrants in the country, the German newspaper Die Welt reports.

But Pamela Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative and a WND columnist, said there are many dangers from hiding the truth from the German people.

“They are betraying their own people to a future of bloodshed and committing national suicide,” Geller said. “They will go down in history with Hitler as the destroyers of Germany.”

Islamic State destroys oldest Christian monastery in Iraq

ERBIL, Iraq—Satellite photos obtained by the Associated Press confirm what church leaders and Middle East preservationists had feared: the oldest Christian monastery in Iraq has been reduced to a field of rubble, yet another victim of Islamic State group’s relentless destruction of heritage sites it considers heretical.

St. Elijah’s Monastery stood as a place of worship for 1,400 years, including most recently for U.S. troops. In earlier millennia, generations of monks tucked candles in the niches, prayed in the chapel, worshiped at the altar. The Greek letters chi and rho, representing the first two letters of Christ’s name, were carved near the entrance.

"GUN RUNNER" Rifle Found in El Chap Cache

A .50-caliber rifle found at Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman’s hideout in Mexico was funneled through the gun-smuggling investigation known as Fast and Furious, sources confirmed Tuesday to Fox News.

A .50-caliber is a massive rifle that can stop a car or, as it was intended, take down a helicopter.

After the raid on Jan. 8 in the city of Los Mochis that killed five of his men and wounded one Mexican marine, officials found a number of weapons inside the house where Guzman was staying, including the rifle, officials said.
