It's difficult to tell how much accuracy she's getting, though the end seems to be bouncing her little "hanging target" around a good bit...
It also seems as though her bow isn't especially powerful...
Still, there's no arguing that her speed is impressive - the obvious result of years of repetitive practice getting her to the point that her muscle-memory is nigh to PERFECT.
I'm betting she could come damn close to the same point blindfolded at this point....
It looked to me like she was hitting a man sized target in the vicinity of the chest each time and yes, I don't think the bow was that powerful, but I imagine she could be devastating by moving up in power and slowing down.
i hate kids. they are so good, so fluid at everything. oh, yawn, it is so easy, she seems to say. laughing.
i was reading a book on infantry tactics by melvin johnson, the inventor of the johnson semi automatic rifle, model of 1941. as part of his argument, he was advocating the adoption of the semi automatic rifle, as being very useful in quick, intense engagements.
he dealt with the notion, held by some, that semi auto's would lead to the overly quick consumption of ammunition supplies, and would leave the infantryman bereft of ammo. all, of course, at a very bad time.
to which johnson "responded", "pish posh." he made a very humorous observation that warriors always run out of ammo, ... , the rock thrower out of rocks, the spear chucker out of spears, and the archer out of arrows.
it is the history of conflict, that soldiers deplete their stores and kill, wound and maim each other far quicker than their commanders want them to.
when i saw this little girl shooting those arrows, that passage came vividly to mind. if she were going to be in a prolonged fight, she'd need a donkey cart to haul her arrows in, to assure any kind of supply.
it would be fun to see how long it would take her to work her way through 100 arrows. not very much longer than a kid with an m-4 in a fire fight, would be my guess.
i was reading about a british trooper who put 38 rounds on a 12" 300 yard gong in 60 seconds ... with a single shot martini. hits only, as counting.
Wow! Impressive. I do know that originally the M-16 was full auto when I went to Vietnam, but I believe afterwards they changed the selector to only fire a three round burst as they found on full auto they weren't as accurate.
