All roads lead to Richmond! The 2012 Heritage Rally will take place in Richmond, Va where the permanent government of the Confederate States of America established its capitol and formed its government. The day they chose for this was February 22nd, the birthday of the man who was the icon of American Constitutional government and a Southerner, George Washington. In fact the Statue of Washington on the Statehouse grounds in Richmond is the image on the Great Seal of the Confederacy. Therefore the event is being held on the nearest Saturday to allow more the chance to attend.
The plan is to have a Heritage Parade down Monument Ave and rally around the statue of Robert E. Lee for the festivities. More details to be announced later.
As was the case for the 2011 Rally, here are the parade line up and rules.
I'd like to know if I can march in the parade? I have a hand pulled wagon w/a photo salute to the CSA. I also have a musical sound track that plays. Regards, Buddy
