Local Woman Collects Clean Sheets for Afghanistan MASH unit

Via Dave

The President of the Roanoke Valley Republican Women's club took matters into her own hands when she learned that a MASH unit had nothing but worn and torn blood-stained sheets to use to take care of our wounded warriors stationed in Afghanistan.

RoxAnne Christley who lives in Roanoke, VA found out from a friend married to a MASH nurse in Afghanistan that he was unable to get clean and fresh sheets for the beds in their hospital unit. "They wash them but they are just coming apart" Christley said. She promptly organized local resources and is now shipping over more than 100 sets of clean sheets to the MASH unit.

  1. Brock,

Sorry to just dump think link here, but it's important and I just read it.

It ties everything together so the average person (that wants to) can understand how things are "fixin" to happen.

  3. What bothers me the most is the very fact that a citizen needs to even be concerned with such things.

While TPTB piss our money away or use it buy off foreign whore governments, our service members have to go through such things. Reminds of me when we were going through the whole body armor fiasco a few years ago.

Frankly, I am disgusted and fed up with our "leaders" and our country being the lickspittle for the left and political correctness.

    Sorry for the rant........just frustrated

  4. If we can't even afford sheets for our military hospitals we have no business being in war do we? Krikies, I remember when my brother was in the gulf war and my mom and I were sending him packages every week because they didn't have any personal hygiene items, socks, and even food. I was disgusted then too.
