Goodies from Ol' Remus

Color Film of New York City, summer, 1939
From Romano-Archives via YouTube video, 2m 50s. Silent, overdubbed with muzak and disfigured with an intermittent logo, but entertaining for all that.

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg No other image in the American archive resonates with the emotional urgency and tragic
poignancy of the photograph that would come to be known as Migrant Mother, but Dorothea Lange's description was largely misleading and factually incorrect, including the date of the photos. Through her negligence, in effect, Lange perpetrated a case of historic deception on the American public, says Geoffrey Dunn in this archived article, Photographic License, at New Times Magazine.]

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg A government website designed for girls ages 10 to 16 offers health advice and information on a wide range of topics, including homosexuality, anal sex and mutual masturbation. The website is described this way on the "About" portion: " ... girlshealth.gov promotes healthy and positive behaviors in girls, giving them reliable and useful health information in a fun, easy-to-understand way," says Penny Starr in this article at CNS News.

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg Trayvon Martin not only attended fights, but he recorded them on video, including "one where two buddies of his are beating up a homeless guy."  The video recorded a crime.  The State of Florida had had this video in possession for months and took no follow-up action.  The State had concealed critical evidence all along. Judge Nelson made no comment on the beating of the homeless man.  She had a case to misdirect, and she wasn't about to quibble over something as insignificant as justice, says Jack Cashill in this article, Trayvon, George, and the Homeless Man, at American Thinker.

Zimmerman trial - Among the material that apparently was in Trayvon's phone was a video he made of a homeless man being beaten by Trayvon and his friends. The State has thus known since that phone was forensically examined shortly after Martin's death that Martin had a history of committing crimes against other people, specifically, beating up other people, the precise event that would exonerate Zimmerman in that they had in their possession video evidence of him doing exactly that to another individual.

The majority of Muslims can at best be described as moderate extremists, while a tiny minority can be complimented for being extremist moderates. And the existence of that minority is often as hard to verify as the presence of Bigfoot in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Some people claim to have seen one, but the sightings never amount to anything tangible.
