Some 83 aircraft have been declared “missing” since 1948, according to data compiled by the Aviation Safety Network. The list includes planes capable of carrying more than 14 passengers and where no trace — bodies or debris — has ever been found.

Perhaps they all had Close Encounters of the 4th kind ...this latest one, however, sure looks like a hijacking--the pilots may or may not have been in on (my bet is they were).

DeleteI can't help but notice that with the advancing electronic babysitters- there are less each year...except for that cluster in the mid 2000's.
ReplyDeleteAlso maybe they should look at the S&R equipment they had back in 1947 versus today.
