Oh yeah, brilliant idea, because we know criminals will obey the law just like they do all others........

Rep. Mike Honda, D-San Jose, today announced legislation that would block civilians from accessing military-grade body armor to prevent criminals from using them in gun battles with law enforcement.

Honda, speaking at a news conference in San Jose this morning with police chiefs and the district attorneys and sheriffs from Santa Clara and Alameda counties, said his proposal would discourage criminals from wearing enhanced body armor to commit mass shootings.

  1. Typical "Feel Good", "We Have To Do SOMETHING!!" legislation from these ignorant morons.
They have no clue that you can go down to your local steel yard, have the pieces cut and walk out in an hour.
Note to Mr. Honda, this is perfectly legal and until you can figure out a way to pass legislation banning the public from owning steel, will continue to be.

    Grandstanding idiot.

  2. Yup. confirmed, Again. The letter D, in reality is the designation for Dip S--t.. Again, with no suprises that the congress critter is from the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of California. Thanks a lot A--hole, now I have to put money aside to purchase on for my own. There is no idea so stupid that a congress critter will think is a great idea and needs to made into law (with themselves of course being exempted from it, just like Obamacare)

  3. Good Idea. I've always said that one of the biggest problems facing America today is too much freedom to buy anything we want.

  5. What a moron.....what exactly IS "military grade armor"? \
One would assume that it would be anything capable of
stopping FMJ rifle rounds.....and ANY machine shop in America
can manufacture such armor in a matter of minutes. All they need
is plate steel. Might as well outlaw alcohol....AGAIN.....for all the
    good it will do.
