In response to an inquiry about unaccompanied minors from one of its school divisions, Virginia’s Department of Education issued a memo this month reminding its 132 divisions about their obligation to educate all children.
“In light of the heightened media coverage of the issue of undocumented immigrant children, VDOE provides the following updated information for your use in responding to community questions or issues,” says the memo distributed to the commonwealth’s 132 school divisions and obtained by Breitbart News.The memo to Virginia’s school divisions stressed the need to provide all children “equal access to an education” and highlighted the updated guidance from the Obama administration providing more flexibility on the documentation students need to enroll in public schools.

ReplyDeleteJust had lunch with a former coworker whose son is in the 3rd grade - the first week of school and he has already gotten in trouble for talking to a friend while they were lining up to leave music class. He contends that he was telling his friend to behave, but it didn't matter - lost out on recess as a consequence of this grievous SIN of talking. Sure glad that her little boy's behavior is getting the riot act, while this other crap goes unabated. Next time, the Rack!!!

By my accounting I can save enough to move to points way south because they will be all up here.

DeleteActually Mexico extended much further south to nearly South America at one time....they probably lost more territory to the south than to the north. They would have lost no territory to the north if Santa Anna had not tried to nullify the Mexican constitution. (which was about equal to the US constitution) I believe two other Mexican provinces also rebelled but were defeated by Santa Anna. Texas was independent after the war with Mexico and not a US state until some years later.
