Apache Helicopter Harasses Gun Owners

Via LH

A family visiting co-workers in Salt Lake City was taken out to a gun range in the Utah desert to shoot pistols and shotguns but their day was interrupted on two separate occasions by the chopper.
According to the wife of the man who uploaded the video to YouTube, “you could see the gun under the nose waving at us.”

  1. Certainly adds credence to what we fear is to come.

    1. Yes, but don't think they'll be foolish enough to buzz like that if things go haywire.

  4. They should have fired on the chopper. Regs wouldn't allow it to fire back and if it did
they could be the first martyrs of the revolution.

  5. We'll see who's smiling after a half dozen 308s compromise the integrity of the gunships canopy. Has to land somewhere ;)

  7. Hopefully someone got the tail numbers and called the base...dumbasses in the aircraft. Flying over a civilian range, that's ACTIVE, in a military aircraft that's not involved in any military or support of civilian LEO action...

Put on your tinfoil though - maybe they were goading someone into shooting them so they could start it...

    1. I'd go with the first for now and see if it repeats or not.

  9. From the video footage, it looks like an unimproved road, no range facilities. Flight operations at the airfield they departed from would be aware of their flight plan, which if they strayed too far from they would be informed and told to proceed on their planned route. Pilots in open area like that would probably like to put on a show for some folks out in the area, they just happened to see the folks out shooting. Context is lacking, and the fact that it doesn't appear to be a range facility doesn't lend credibility to the claims in the article.

    1. Thanks, but I don't believe going to shoot requires a licensed range. May be just what the reporter called it.
