  1. I question the photo. Their vests appear to be empty. Nobody's holding their rifle in a correct manner, and nobody in the background appears to have a vest or rifle. Just sayin'

    1. Don't know, but the reporter is identified on the photo and has had many of his picked up. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2788561/dispatches-kobane-border-just-yards-away-mail-s-sam-greenhill-watches-life-death-struggle-kurds-desperately-fighting-isis-maniacs.html

  2. Looks legit. The vests are to carry the load of ammo, not armor plates. Though unsophisticated people might think they are protective in their current state. The women are likely in teh early stages of their training, thus no ammo issued. Classes on proper drill and ceremony are likely not a priority. If these women get the basic idea behinf pointing the shooty end at the bad guys, it will be a success.

In any case, the lessons are clear. If you lose, we all die, so everyone is in this fight. and arming your citizens is the best way to ensure their freedom.

      Absolutely.

  3. Isis isn't winning any battles against other armed forces where the others stand and fight. The only massacres are against unarmed civilians and former soldiers who gave up thinking they could just change uniforms and go back to the barracks.

& some did after they already knew what had happened to others before. Amazing.
