“Richard Nixon invented the cult of the ‘POW/MIA’ in order to justify the carnage in Vietnam in a way that rendered the United States as its sole victim.“Downed pilots whose bodies were not recovered…had once been classified ‘Killed in Action/Body Unrecovered.’
During the Nixon years, the Pentagon moved them into *a newly invented ‘Missing in Action’ column.
(*Blithering idiot, MIA was used long before the Vietnam war. Additionally, I was in charge of placing combat MOS soldiers in the most appropriate category when they were wounded as far as determining the extent of the wounds in order to decide whether or not to send replacements. Besides injury classifications, there were KIA and MIA in 1967 long before Nixon came to power. Dorkhead. BT)
More idiotic rants @ Government Slaves
This is the result when people are afraid of excessive litigation and don't take pajamaboy in the alley out back and beat the crap out of him for being a vinegar and water bag.
