What are the odds that any one person, no matter the height of office or station in life, that they would know of so many who have committed suicide or become tangled with murderous thugs? There's no way he'd have been left unnattended. It's entirely possible the "medics" took him out of the cell "unresponsive" and now he's on his way to some island somewhere.
