FIRE Alert
If you live in the Durham/Raleigh, NC area, we need your help. We need all local illegal alien activist groups, NC Voice, NC Freedom, Chatham Community Voice, NC Listen, ALIPAC, Triangle Conservatives, We the People, Tea Party Groups and other conservative activists, to attend the Durham City Council meeting, Mon. evening, Nov. 15th @ 7:00 pm, 101 City Hall Plaza, Durham, NC. The Durham city council is planning to vote to accept the Mexican matricula consular ID card as a legal form of ID in the city of Durham.
The "pro-illegal" group: NC Religious Coalition for Justice for Immigrants, is planning to "pack the event" with supporters in favor of the proposal: http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Immigration-Action-Alert--Durham-City-Council-Vote.html?soid=1102552225491&aid=Rg1Xb3bFuOE They want to "out-number" any opposition to the proposal.
The Mexican matricula consular ID card is nothing more than breeder document for identity fraud. It is not a "secured" document as it is not checked against any criminal data base in the US or Mexico. It is purported to be way for the police to more readily "identify" who a person is, when that person has no "documentation", ie: an illegal alien in this country. It is also accepted by all NC State Gov't agencies as either "legal identification" or "proof of NC residency" and is ONE of the documents that can be used to obtain NC social services and NC driver's licenses.
This has got to stop!
NCFIRE has signed up to speak at this event and we need you to attend! Please forward this to all of your contacts.

Hagan On The DREAM Act
========
October 18, 2010
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. I greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on this important issue.
The DREAM Act (S. 729) was introduced on March 26, 2009 and referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Similar bills have been introduced during previous Congresses, but never garnered enough support to pass.
The DREAM Act would provide illegal immigrants who are students with a path to citizenship. Under the DREAM Act, these students could receive conditional permanent residency if they meet certain criteria, including: entering the United States before age 16; living in the United States for at least five continuous years immediately before the bill becomes effective; graduating from high school or gaining admission into an institute of higher education; having "good moral character;" and being younger than 35 when the bill becomes effective. Students must also demonstrate that they are not inadmissible to the country and are not under final order for deportation or removal. After a six year period of conditional permanent residency, these individuals could then apply for citizenship if they continued to demonstrate "good moral character," continued to live in the United States, and completed at least two years of higher education or served at least two years in the military.
Like you, I oppose the DREAM Act and amnesty. While I am open to considering some of the provisions of the DREAM Act in the context of comprehensive immigration reform, I do not support this bill as a stand-alone measure. I strongly believe that the United States must take the necessary steps to fix the way we handle illegal immigration, and I am committed to achieving practical, bipartisan, comprehensive reform that will protect taxpayers and address the problem of illegal immigration at its core. We must strengthen our borders, crack down on employers who knowingly hire illegal workers, and shut down the underground economy. With our economy in peril, it is more important than ever to ensure that we are protecting the jobs, wages and working conditions of American workers.
Again, thank you for contacting my office. It is truly an honor to represent North Carolina in the United States Senate, and I hope you will not hesitate to contact me in the future should you have any further questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Kay R. Hagan

Here is a link to a news video where Kay Hagan states publicly that she opposes the DREAM ACT. This video was made at the Kernersville Public Library by WGHP reporter Bob Buckley: http://www.myfox8.com/videobeta/496de48e-23b4-443a-90d8-1b36420e7cfd/News/Sen-Kay-Hagan-Blasted-at-Meeting
Lets call Senator Hagan and remind her of the video and her public stand AGAINST the DREAM ACT. Tell her we expect her to vote NO on S.729.

Key points to stress:
No. 1: The rhetoric for DREAM ACT is false and misleading. This amnesty is NOT limited to high school valedictorians and other high-achieving college students who were brought to the U.S. illegally when they were toddlers.
The amnesty includes illegal aliens up to age 35!
And their arrival can be as late as age 15!
The bill is a giant fraud loophole. People can claim the amnesty without providing proof of meeting criteria.
Even the supporters of the DREAM ACT amnesty admit that around 2.1 million people could qualify.
No. 2: DREAM ACT does nothing to stop the behavior that put teenagers into their situation. It leaves the jobs magnet in place.
This amnesty has no enforcement measures at all. It allows employers to continue to hire illegal aliens, enticing millions more parents to bring their children here illegally and stay long enough for them to become high school students and demand another amnesty in a few years.
No. 3: DREAM ACT leaves intact the chain migration system that will allow these 2.1 million illegal aliens to eventually send for millions more relatives.
Rather quickly, the amnestied illegal aliens would be able to get green cards for their parents. And millions of additional relatives would be able to start planning their applications and getting in line. This starts with adult siblings and moves on to aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
A large percentage of the illegal aliens in the U.S. today are extended family members of the illegal aliens who got amnesty in 1986 and also those in the six more-limited amnesties in the 1990s.

NCFIRE Action Alert
Secure Our Border-Enforce Our Laws
www.NCFIRE.info
South Carolina and Tennessee have already passed strong illegal immigration enforcement laws. Now Virginia is considering doing the same: http://virginia.statehousenewsonline.com/475/virginia-eyes-illegal-immigration-battle/ .
It is imperative that North Carolina get ahead of this situation. We will soon become know as a "sanctuary state" among the illegal alien population as we will become the only southeastern state without legislation against illegal aliens. Our court systems, hospitals, social service departments, law enforcement departments and our State budget can not handle the massive influx of illegal aliens this is going to cause. The shortfalls in financing for these departments and agencies, will come from one place...your back pocket in the form of increased taxes.
The leadership of NCFIRE urges you, in the strongest possible terms, to contact the North Carolina Legislature and insist they enact laws that discourage illegal immigration into North Carolina. The easiest way to contact them all at once is, to register (for free) at: https://www.lifelibertyfreedom.com/ . Once you are registered, select the "Contact Your State Government" tab at the top and then the "All Legislators" option and write your letter in the box provided.
Our position on enforcing illegal immigration laws in this state are as follows:
(1) Require all companies (public and private), doing business in NC, to use the E-Verify System
(2) Cut off all funding to sanctuary cities in North Carolina.
(3) Require stricter punishments for businesses that hire illegal aliens in North Carolina.
(4) Revoke all North Carolina drivers’ licenses issued without a valid social security number.
(5) Require proof of citizenship for any social welfare program in North Carolina.
(6) Require voters to present a valid photo ID at the polls in North Carolina.
(7) Require all 100 counties in North Carolina to enact the 287g program.
(8) Require that English be the preeminent language of North Carolina.
(9) Deny enrollment of illegal aliens into any North Carolina college system.
(10) Deny North Carolina residency status to any person that is in this Country illegally.
(11) Regulate, control and deport the illegal alien population in North Carolina.
Please feel free to use these points in your letter.
Thanks for your time and attention on this matter,
James Johnson
