Arpaio takes Obama's executive order to court

 Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Less than two hours after Barack Obama announced a solo move to protect millions of illegal aliens from deportation, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio took him to court to have the Constitution upheld.

A lawsuit filed by attorney Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch named Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Immigration Services chief Leon Rodriquez and Attorney General Eric Holder as defendants in an action that seeks to avoid “irreversible harm” from Obama’s actions because they will “encourage[e] more illegal aliens to enter the country unlawfully…”

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks, among other things, a “permanent injunction declaring the amnesty programs to be unlawful.”

Arpaio, who has been at odds with the Obama administration a number of times, released a statement:

“This unconstitutional act by the president will have a serious detrimental impact on my carrying out the duties and responsibilities for which I am encharged as sheriff,” he said.

Bombshell: Email Proves that White House, DOJ Targeted Reporter Sharyl Attkisson

Via Sioux

Judicial Watch reports that the Obama administration has turned over about 42,000 pages of documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal. The administration was forced to turn the documents over to Judicial Watch in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Judicial Watch is posting them on its web site. The administration turned them over on November 18, 2014.

One of the documents provides smoking gun proof that the Obama White House and the Eric Holder Justice Department colluded to get CBS News to block reporter Sharyl Attkisson. Attkisson was one of the few mainstream media reporters who paid any attention to the deadly gun-running scandal.

In an email dated October 4, 2011, Attorney General Holder’s top press aide, Tracy Schmaler, called Attkisson “out of control.” Schmaler told White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz that he intended to call CBS news anchor Bob Schieffer to get the network to stop Attkisson.
Schultz replied, “Good. Her piece was really bad for the AG.”

40 Million Illegal Aliens, NOT Just 5 Million

Via Sioux

“My job is now obsolete.” “America’s sovereignty is over.” “The Obama Administration hasn’t told us anything.” “I’m gonna get a raise to continue reading Yahoo News all day long.” “The borders are now open because we can’t arrest most illegal aliens, even if they come into the country today, tomorrow, or next year. They can come here, stay forever, and laugh at us.”

Those are just some of the reactions I’ve gotten from demoralized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who contacted me yesterday and last night regarding Barack Obama’s announcement of mass amnesty for illegal aliens via executive fiat. Some rank-and-file ICE agents told me they were taken into meetings, yesterday afternoon, to be told the bad news about how little work they’d be doing (even less than they’re already doing because they aren’t allowed to do their jobs). Other agents–including some in higher level top official positions in various ICE offices–told me they’ve been told little to nothing and been kept in the dark regarding Obama’s amnesty plan.

Dear Evangeline… The wartime love letters to a girl in rural North Carolina from THREE soldiers who all wanted to marry her on their return

Via WiscoDave

Never met: Evangeline Poteat (right) ultimately chose Teal Davis (left), an air-crew chief stationed in Burma - even though they had never met

The annals of war are full of stories of lovelorn soldiers on the front line, dreaming wistfully of a girl back home.

Evangeline Poteat was one such dream girl ... but rather than consuming the thoughts of a single soldier, she was desired by three.

Now, a collection of 18 love letters sent to the 22-year-old factory worker from the trio of admirers during the Second World War are to go under the hammer.

They reveal three men in love, each fighting on two fronts: on one for their country, and on another for her heart.

There Is No Longer A Rule Of Law: This clown needs impeachment -- now.

This is not an option for the House.  Any President who willfully and wantonly refuses to faithfully execute the laws of this nation must be impeached and removed from office.  It is a duty of the Congress, not an option that Congress has.

Tonight you heard Obama appeal over a young girl who "came here" and is a great student.  He quoted scripture (not that I believe he has ever actually read it.)  We all know Presidents don't write their own speeches in the modern day, at least we do if we have a brain in our heads.

To declare that the law will not be enforced on a blanket basis for huge groups of people because the President disagrees with the Congress -- which has the absolute right to set immigration policy -- is a complete stick in the eye to any premise of The Rule of Law that you might believe remains.

I note that to refuse to decide is still a decision, and Congress is within its rights to do exactly that.  Congress has no imperative to pass anything; it acts through absence of legislation more often than it legislates, in point of fact, and this is exactly what the founders intended -- and how all Constitutional Republics that are functional operate.

WORK PERMITS banned from his speech, but not from the Obama amnesty. DECEPTION?

In a 2,200-word speech, he didn't mention "work permits" or "work authorization" even once.

Pres. Obama's huge prime-time TV speech about his big fix of the "broken immigration system" somehow left out the fact that he would be rewarding millions of unlawfully present foreign citizens with three-year work permits to compete directly with struggling American workers.

He hid the most consequential part of his big immigration "deal" from the American people.

The President made it seem like the big change was that he was going to stop deporting illegal aliens who don't have a big felony record. But officials already have acknowledged that the average illegal alien has almost no chance of being deported, anyway.

He told us that if the illegal aliens stay here they have to pay taxes. But he forgot to say they would get work permits and be able to compete for any job in construction, manufacturing, service, programming or any other occupation. Or that they would get Social Security numbers to enable them to obtain all kinds of other documents that could embed them in America for life

UNFPA: Children Have Right to Sex, Drugs, Abortion to Reduce Population

Via comment by Sioux on Gay Rights Advocate and Obama Fundraiser Arrested ...

UNFPA State of World Pop Report 2014

Can't make this crap up.

There are more young people in the world now than ever before. According to the United Nations Population Fund’s latest report, this represents an unprecedented opportunity for progress, but only if future generations are smaller.

UNFPA’s prescription to ensure a “demographic dividend” includes freely available abortion for adolescents, removing age of consent, drug and prostitution laws, and reduced parental involvement in the sexual formation of their children.

"The Saxon stirs"

You know what they say: Vote UKIP, get UKIP. This by-election result is huge, because it is presenting the English with a genuine and popular alternative to the single pro-European party and its three factions, Tory, Labour, and Liberal Democrat.

As last night's executive action showed, what Americans need is a genuine American Independence Party. [Where is George Wallace when you need him......?:)]

I was watching Glenn Beck last night (First mistake) and he had the above picture up on the screen. He asked the question “Is this who we are?” Of course his answer was no, as he is trying to keep as much distance between himself and potential violence as possible.

My answer was an immediate “You’re damned right that’s who we are.”

Rogue President

Asserting a legal and constitutional authority he himself said he did not have, President Obama is going rogue, issuing an executive amnesty to 4 to 5 million illegal aliens.

He will order the U.S. government not to enforce the law against these 5 million, and declare that they are to be exempt from deportation and granted green cards.

Where did Obama get his 4-5 million figure, not 2-4 million, or 5-7 million? Nowhere in law, but plucked out of his own mind, as to what he can get away with. Barack Obama just felt it was about right.

Thus does our constitutional law professor-president “faithfully execute” the laws of the United States he has twice swore to uphold?

Our rogue president has crossed an historic line, and so has the republic. Future presidents will cite the “Obama precedent” when they declare they will henceforth not enforce this or that law, because of a prior commitment to some noisy constituency.
