Weekly goodies from Ol' Remus

Sandy Hook - From first shot to first responder was a 20 minute window.  He had approximately 1 minute per kill, so he could have accomplished his head count with a muzzle loader rifle.

News from France, 1940 - Military orders now forbid the French to do things which the German people have not been allowed to do since Hitler came to power. To own radio senders or to listen to foreign broadcasts, to organize public meetings and distribute pamphlets, to disseminate anti-German news in any form, to retain possession of firearms—all these things are prohibited for the subjugated people of France. [It could never happen here, we said]

The origin of FFL's and how the Reich closed the "gun show loophole" - By 1928, the Weimar republic was ready to enact a comprehensive firearms law. The Gesetz über Schußwaffen und Munition (Law on Firearms and Ammunition) required a license to manufacture, assemble, or repair firearms and ammunition, or even to reload cartridges. A license was also required to sell firearms as a trade. Trade in firearms was prohibited at annual fairs, shooting competitions, and other events.

There is no legitimate act, whether by Congress, law, the Constitution or any other means to deprive you of your natural rights, because you are endowed with them by virtue of being human... If you are an elected official and take any position or advocate any law to constrain the ownership of small arms by the people, as defined in our Constitution, you are deserving of immediate impeachment along with both civil damages and criminal imprisonment.

If you compare white populations, we have the same murder rate as Belgium. So perhaps it's not a gun problem, it is a demographic problem, which liberals are the ones pushing, pushing, pushing.

==================================

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg West Point investigators uncover an alarming threat - Anti-federalists espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals' civil and constitutional rights... they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government... liberal worldviews are future—or progressive—oriented, says the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, as reported by Rowan Scarborough in this article at the Washington Times.
Note from Remus - This is deeply troubling: an all-volunteer standing army whose junior officer corps is being taught to understand the citizenry as a problem to be solved—by them. We needn't guess who will and who will not be fast-tracked in the, formerly our, Army. You have only to see the intimidating random roadblocks, or smokers standing outside in foul weather, or citizens of both sexes and all ages being invasively searched by TSA goons, or the otherwise puzzling drive to disarm Joe Sixpack to understand what's being assembled in plain sight, why and by whom. And all this at the same time a Plowshares Fund art-link-symbol-tiny-grey-arrow-only-rev01.gif activist has been nominated for Secretary of Defense, an outfit which promises to "third world" the US military.
Description of a Popeye's in Chicago where two were murdered this Friday - a chain link fence with barbed and razor wire encircles part of the roof near cooling units and thick glass separates the dining area from the cash registers. Food and money exchange hands through small openings at the counter. [The 28th and 29th killed so far this year in Gun Free Zone Chicago]

Aaron Swartz - His suicide followed an over-zealous prosecution for a crime with no victims—by a Justice Department that has yet to prosecute the Wall Street bankers who destroyed our economy and harmed millions of lives.

    Henceforth I will no longer label myself a Libertarian. Like Richard Henry Lee I am proud to be an Anti-Federalist, AKA "Terrorist" by the new West Point vocabulary. He called himself "Federal Farmer." I guess I will use "Retired Federal Racket Scientist." Heh.

  3. That would work for me. Thanks. I have long considered my mother and father to be just that.
