  1. I'm proud of them but I'm too broke down to get there. Maybe I can help bail them out.

  2. I wish you'd tell my wife and my physical therapist that. They'd get a real laugh out of it. But yesterday my wife finally agreed to fly to Raleigh with me and rent a car. It really bugs her to go there without visiting all her folks in Virginia so I may just fly back without her and let her go wherever. I can fly alone, but I need a driver when I get there. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Heh.

I'd come to NC just for the oysters. A great surgeon in my Virginia church was from somewhere near you, Edenton maybe. Every year he's say, "Well, Horace, I'm going to the old home state next week." I'd always say, "To play Pinehurst No. 1, I guess." "Oh, hell no," he'd respond. "Just to eat some oysters." That's reason enough. Other night I had nine fried oysters for nine dollars at Captain D's, that would have made good missiles for one of my sling shots. Sad.

Medicare is really changing the rules. In each of 2011 and 2012 I got 18 therapy sessions. That has now been cut to 12 a year, and there must be some new pressure on the hospitals because therapists who delighted in seeing me every time last year look at me as if I had crawled out from under a rock. I think Obamacare will strain the system to the breaking point and that right early. Spalding Rehab Hospital bills Medicare $350 for each fifty minute hour they work on me. Then Medicare reimburses them $125. Phony systems eventually collapse under their own weight.

Certainly or you can come to Cape Carteret with us after the PATCON and she can pick you up there. Raleigh is probably the cheapest, but there are Grenville, New Bern, Jacksonville and Wilmington among others. The sooner you get the tickets, the cheaper they will be.

:) The driveway at Dixieland is paved with their shells. Works well, just throw them on top of the dirt. Don't know this year, but the last time I bought 50 pounds in Little Washington, they were $35. Now, now don't cry........:)

Much the same with CHAMPVA, but I guess they make their money off the companies that pay what they are billed.
