Small Town Southern Man

  1. Nice.

I've always enjoyed Jackson's work. Real country music with twang, humor, and a message.

Most of what comes out today as "country" is simply really BAD pop music.

  2. Love this song. One of our son in laws says this reminds him of my husband, which is a hoot, he's not a Southren, being born and raised in Wyoming...but my mama always said Wyoming was just Texans, Okies, and Arkies all thrown together working the oil fields, lol.

    1. Indeed so, T's father worked in the oil fields of OK and they are/were very Southern.

  3. Quite. My mama was from Okla., her mama from Texas, and her dad from Arkansas. All the previous generations came to those places from the deep South. There's a reason our Thanksgiving turkey is stuffed with cornbread dressing and not bread dressing, lol.
