What more could
you ask for than the great Johnny Rivers? Back when men were men and
damsels were in distress. I really got into Johnny Rivers listening to
him in the bars of Bien Hoa in 1967 - 1968 . BT)
I was starting my senior year at Bowling Green State University in 1968 (in the winter, I was always a whiter shade of pale) - Johnny had one hit after another back then - glad to hear he is still around and doing well.
Yes and as Susan said, Johnny had one hit after another back then. My favorite bar there had his album on, as I remember, all the time to no complaints.

DeleteTwo pricelesses in one day. You're on a roll, Brock.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hope you are well and keeping your many Mosins ready for action as leader of the III Wheelchair Militia! :)
DeleteI'm ready. First heard this sung by Ole Willie, as I recall.
DeleteI didn't know he ever sang that, but just now see that he did. Thanks.
DeleteAs a young boy (9-10 years old) the song just took hold of me and has yet to let go....
