CDC Mission To Bring Ebola Infected U.S. Aid Worker Back To America Underway

One of the American aid workers is going to be airlifted back to the U.S. for treatment and care of the Ebola Virus.   According to the CDC and CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta a special non-stop jet left at 5:00pm on the mission to retrieve “an American” for treatment at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Given that only two Americans are known to be infected with the virus, Dr. Kent Brantly (below left), and aid worker Nancy Writebol (below right), both with Samaritans Purse, it can reasonably be assumed one of them will be aboard the transport.

Earlier reports from the region were that Dr. Brantly had given instructions for Mrs. Writebol to be treated first with any limited supplies of medication which might be available.   Consequently the higher probability is that Mrs. Writebol is the patient being transported if only one person is retrieved.

  1. This is not going to end well - No one, and I mean no one with the Ebola virus should be allowed to leave these affected countries in Africa. I am sorry for the missionary doctors and helper who got sick, but they knew the risk. This isn't some bad case of the chicken pox. This is just amazing to watch unfold.

  2. I really wanted to be wrong in my prediction, but looks like they are going to really ratchet up the mayhem.

  4. With the long incubation period I am wondering how they can even know they have it contained. I guess the one plus is it isn't airborne per se yet.

  5. From what I know of the virus and any hemorrhagic virus, they won't survive the trip. Bascially, the red blood cells flatten and the blood pavements, causing mass hemorrhaging. The internal organs starting with the intestines, then the liver and kidneys, eventually liquifying them. Not a medical person, but I would think the change in altitude and stress of moving will kill these people quicker than leaving them in place, even under less than adequate medical facilities.

The reason why there hasn't been a pandemic of this virus is because the victims suffer so much that they aren't mobile enough to infect many others. They crawl into a dark place to die. The fact that they have the hubris to think that they can move these people and save them while not infecting a bunch of others is either completely stupid, or they want an excuse to lock down the entire country in fear/quarantine.

  6. This matches another article I read where Germany was importing Ebola infected patients into Germany for treatment. There is a whole lot more happening here than we are being told. I see two possible reasons they are moving this disease around the world. First reason I see is an effort to decrease the world’s population. Most liberal environmental groups see humans as a disease that needs removed. Remember Prince Charles statement if he could reincarnate he would come back as a plague to eliminate humans. Possibility 1 is to start a global pandemic and kill half or more of the world’s population. The other reason I see for the CDC to suddenly with to import the virus is the disease is already here. It was brought into America with one of the illegals now flooding the border. Can you imagine what the backlash would if discovered this wave of illegal children just infected America with Ebola?

If I really put on my tin foil hat, I see both as true. The decision by Germany was a week or more ago. The plan was treat patients then there would be some “accident” that released the disease. The CDC decision is a wild card were they planning a two-pronged release of the disease. I do not see this as practical because once released in Germany a dozen plane flights later and presto a pandemic. One accidental release perhaps could happen but to have two that might draw questions. I truly see the CDC decision more to cover the administration. President Obama, John Bonehead the rest of Washington’s old guard are so invested in the illegal invasion they would not survive the truth that Ebola came to America through the illegals now flooding over the border. There you have it more visions from under my cracked pot!

They should stop it in it's tracks.

    2. the trouble with that scenario (unleashing this on purpose ) is that when one opens Pandora's box, there's the nothing stopping the beast from turning on the opener.

Possibly it's here already (like bubonic plague, TB, and the host of other plagues) because it's more than babies crawling across the border from S. America or because they intend on releasing something that closely resembles it in symptoms.
(my tin foil hat is bigger than yours :P )

also, the backlash: like what? a rally? overpass sign holding. SOrry to sound cynical, but what do we DO at this point?

    3. The public is already overall against this invasion and if Ebola was proved to have come across the border now, the political repercussions should be servere enough to seal it. At least, I hope so.:)

Whew, it's a good thing there's not a major crisis going on with something yucky like, maybe, ebola, right!?

  7. Here is part of the problem. This is from an article titled, “7 facts you should know about the Ebola outbreak”

Here is the link to the whole story.

    7) If Ebola came to the US, it probably wouldn't get very far

The US has a strong health-care infrastructure, and experts say that means that Ebola here would never look like Ebola in West Africa.

The worst-case scenario is that the first person to bring Ebola over to America would be sick and contact with lots of people before anyone realizes that it might be Ebola and brings her to a hospital. But here, modern hospitals would likely use proper procedures to prevent transmission, and epidemiologists would track down people who are at risk of infection and make sure they don't spread it to others.

Overall, it's unlikely that Ebola would get any farther than a localized problem in one area. Even in the worst-case scenario, Osterholm says, "I don't think we’ll have a serious public health threat in any of the developed countries."

REALLY to say, "I don't think we’ll have a serious public health threat in any of the developed countries" is just dumb.

That attitude scares me to death. They really think modern health care is all that is needed to contain an Ebola Outbreak. My dad had a term for people like them Educated Idiots. I fear we will soon be at ground zero for them to test that theory.

    1. Heh! I saw it as an opportunity to go to Vietnam cheap, as one time, the price got under $400 for a round trip. :) Didn't go though.

  10. Alqedia stated that they would have a terror attack against a major American city killing 450k plus at one time about 2 years ago.. With the porous border this could be it or something similar..
