SWAT Team Ends 7-Hour Standoff After Realizing Nobody Was Home

Via Mike

A seven hour standoff between a SWAT team in Hayward, California–and what was eventually determined to be an empty residence–ended, when authorities realized the individual they thought may have sent a series of "suspicious notes" was not actually home.

The bomb squad, including snipers and their bomb-sniffing K9s, were called out after deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office discovered a series of incendiary notes which indicated there were explosives inside of the home they were attempting to deliver eviction notices to, according to a report by KTVU. The events began around 10 am and ended at 5:30 pm on Tuesday evening.

Neighbors of the residence, which is located on the 27000 block of Gainesville Boulevard, were evacuated, and one even shared the contents of her text with KTVU:

  1. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Our overlords are not only evil, fascist and out of control, they are stupid, ignorant and have no common sense. A SWAT team for an eviction notice. I can't wait to see what happens when I'm late returning my library books.

Thankfully no babies or dogs were killed in this incident.

  2. To add to the above posting, there is a perverse bright side to the matter: The general public and dogs were in fact enjoying a brief period of increased safety and security. In those 7 hours the public was free from being harrassed, tormented, terrorized, assault and possible murdered; dogs were free from abritary exicution, with their owners and family members spare the horror of witnessing it, from those same wanna-be SWAT LEOs. By accident, they did some thing right.
Of course my BS meter is at top of range; "suspicious notes" , "weapons recovered"...yah...sure.

    1. "suspicious notes"

Why don't they just assault every blogger who does this. Should keep them busy forever. :)

  4. I didn't catch that the first time I read this. "suspicious notes".
But they were supposedly acting on an eviction notice.

Notice how there is no jurisdiction in these police state actions anymore? People with guns and military gear who feel justified in using them for any infraction they deem applicable. And if there isn't one, who's to say they won't start making them up?

"They had bomb-making ingredients in their house!"

(so does everyone else who uses bleach, ammonia and drain opener in their kitchen cabinet) There is no fixing this. we ARE At war.
