The North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial Commission Presents:

“Christmas in Fayetteville, 1864 – A Sesquicentennial Event”

Saturday, 13 December 20142PM to 4:30PM; 6:30PM to 8:30PM

Heritage Square – 225 Dick Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Static Infantry and Artillery displays; Heritage Square tours, hot cider, warm cornbread.

“North Carolina’s Homefront”: Experiences of women and children,  speakers Kelly Hinson and Brenda McKean.

Candlelight Tours of Heritage Square in the evening.

Fayetteville Mayor Archibald McLean presides over the festivities.  

Period military and civilian attire is strongly encouraged!

Break 4:30PM to 6:30PM for supper on your own on Hay Street.

Proceeds benefit the Womens’ Club of Fayetteville

Vendors on site -- Admission charged.

    1. Yes, it does, maybe by some miracle we might get a few flakes of snow. :) Brenda McKean's Blood and War at my Doorstep is excellent. Unbeknown to use she had used some of my research on NamSouth as well as Bernard's and we only found out when we read the acknowledgements. As Bernard said, maybe we actually do good sometimes.
