Is the Constitution Really Inimical To States Rights?

Via Billy

A lot of years ago now, when I first became involved in conservative and patriotic endeavors, I can recall many patriotic folks saying that we needed to get our government “back to the Constitution.”

While I believe that would be a step in the right direction, away from the rogue government we have now with its Marxist proclivities, I am not sure that, in the long run, this would solve all our problems. Although for a little over a decade I believed that myself, so I am not faulting in any way those that believe it. However, over the years, events have changed my thinking.

  1. My g-g-grandfather's namesake, James Madison, blew it when he put the word "United" in the title. I revere Henry, and the other Anti-Federalists, especially Richard Henry Lee. Their papers are free on line.

Everything they warned against has come upon us. National Guard to Africa to contain ebola. I have lived too long.

    2. I consider Patrick Henry to have been the most knowledgeable of our Founders. How much better off we would have been had more listened to him.

  2. They want to make sure they spread this disease around in this country. At this stage of the game Ebola is really meant for us here.

  3. Horace, we haven't lived long enough. As long as there's breath in our lungs to speak freely, blood in our veins to burn with passion and eyes set on a horizon of freedom, there's people like us yearning for a utopia of liberty. Always remember, we ARE the resistance.

      Well said, Sir.

    2. I'm with you a while longer. Doing arm exercises to handle the long Mosin, bayonet and all. Those Russian women snipers must have been Amazons to handle those things.

    3. Horace, try using a folding or small simple chair to practice different and awkward firing positions with that Nagant. "Steady as she goes" no matter the conditions ; )
