Three former secretaries of the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS)--including two that served under Republican President George W.
Bush--have sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
(R-KY) urging him not to include language in the DHS funding bill to
prohibit President Obama unilateral
executive actions on immigration that will allow as many as five million illegal aliens to stay in the United States without fear of deportation.
They said that if Congress did include such language in the bill "the
likelihood of a Department of Homeland Security shutdown increases." In
other words: President Obama might veto the bill and shutdown the
department.
Its a perfectly good time to shut it down until Obama is out of office.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a thought. :)
DeleteThe Fix is in - Bush was a weak president on the matter of Immigration, especially with our southern neighbors.
ReplyDelete& then after denying global warming forever, he reverses his position.
DeleteOnce again the PTB in the party of the dead eliphant show us, they have no core prinples on while they will stand, no courage, no spine, no brains or no balls. Or the powers behind throne in the jackass party has them (the GOP "leaders") by the balls.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, it is. The idiots need to be driven out or form a 3rd party.
DeleteI am pretty sure it will have to be the 3rd party.
ReplyDeleteProbably.
