ATLAS BEAR SIDE CHARGING UPPER ASSEMBLY

  1. I prefer the rear charging handle on ARs. It seems more out of the way and there's less room for stuff to get into the action. Just my 2.

This is a really good deal though!

  2. Ahh bummer. I got excited.
    It's only .223 :(
I have a Colt lower in need of stock and complete upper.

Sighed up for their newsletter though. We'll see what comes in :)

  3. I consider the .223 upper as something that can be parted out. They don't sell the carrier and cocking handle seperate. I'd pull the front end and redo it in 300 Blackout. 6.8 or 6.5 Grendel would be a possibility too just change out the bolt head and you should be good to go.

It's too bad that this stock won't fit on the upper- you could come up with a neat rifle. This stock design had to come from someone that had seen the XM231 Port firing rifle or combined it with a MP5-A3 type stock. Just my thought anyway.

  4. I think I'll just stick with my AK or the Garand ; Thanks. This is a "If you put lipstick on a pig, its still just a pig" kind of thing. No matter how hard you try and make an AR LOOK like it's something else , its still just "Jammin' Jenny"---Ray

    1. I certainly wouldn't want something I didn't have confidence in.
