NC: 13-Year-Old Injured After Reported Shark Attack at Ocean Isle Beach

13-year-old girl was injured after a shark bit her and her boogie board today in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, according to the town's mayor.

The teen suffered lacerations on her foot, but was not severely injured after the shark attack, which occurred around 12:40 p.m., Mayor Debbie Smith told ABC affiliate WWAY.

  1. I actually knew a guy that was bitten by a shark off Tomales Point here in California. He lived too.

    2. Thanks. I never saw any unless I was a mile or further out on my boat. We would catch Bonita, freeze their guts in coffee cans, poke holes in the top, then trail them out the back on ropes while we made large circles. Caught one once, but lost him in the end. When Scuba and free diving saw leopards and some others only. Leopards are great eating.
