The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to ban the display of Confederate flags at historic federal cemeteries in the deep South.

The low-profile move came Tuesday evening after a brief debate on a measure funding the National Park Service, which maintains 14 national cemeteries, most of which contain graves of Civil War soldiers.

The proposal by Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., added language to block the Park Service from allowing private groups to decorate the graves of southern soldiers with Confederate flags in states that commemorateConfederate Memorial Day. The cemeteries affected are the Andersonville and Vicksburg cemeteries in Georgia and
 Mississippi.

Yesterday at this time, I would not have been able to definitively answer
    these questions.
However, today without hesitation, if asked will I be back in
school working on my medical degree this fall, my answer would
    have been "yes."
If asked if I believed I would be in a shooting war inside our Republic,
my answer would be "not likely."
If asked if I believed that most likely, by year's end, would
I die violently in combat against the armed jackboots of
the communist dictatorship ruling America, again, my answer
    would be "not likely."
By no means am I naive, but I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS UNHOLY
    AND TREASONOUS SHIT.
    What the fuck?!
It is not my AO, but war it is then.

    2. These people are either covert fashists or chicken shit political hacks worried about where there next campaign contribution is going to come from. In either case they are incapable of responding to logic, reason, fact or education. Neither do they understand that what they are doing is violence. They will only change their ways by the force of even greater DIRECTED violence. The only questions that remain are who will step up, when and where.

  4. I cannot begin to express how angry this makes me. The fact that they hide behind an unrecorded vote only makes it worse. Cowards.

Just keep pushin, you'll find out we won't take much more of this bullshit.

  5. What I read is they are going to ban Confederate Flags from all federal cemeteries.
Since when did this become federal. Doesn't the federal gov have anything else
to do, you know real or phoney terrorists, illegal aliens, drugs, gangs.

    2. It has always been federal. They couldn't allow the South to secede in the first place, so they invaded to force us back in. Then they proceeded to "Reconstruct" us, teaching their version of events which only serves to continuously vilify our ancestors.

Now as time has progressed, it isn't enough for them. They must totally erase our history. And even that will not be enough. They will never stop.

There can be no compromise. All that has lead to is pushing our culture to the side. They take and take and take. Appeasement has gotten us here. Pushing back is the only thing that is going to make a difference now.

      Agreed.

  6. The federal gov does not have the authority to dictate what kind of flag goes on
grave sites. The citizens themselves may discriminate all they want to, and the government has no constitutional authority to dictate contrarily. The government may not require that any person must treat all others equally. For that reason alone, the civil rights laws were laws made in error — namely, the error of a government exceeding its constitutional authority by making laws beyond the scope of that authority. Placement of Confederate Flags on cemeteries exceeds their authority
to rule otherwise. They do not have the right to discriminate but people do.
