Earlier today, the city of Richmond
announced the formation of a “Monument Avenue
Commission” to “help the city redefine the false
narrative of the Confederate statues that line
Richmond’s grandest Boulevard”. The Virginia
Flaggers are extremely disappointed that Richmond’s
newly elected Mayor, Levar Stoney, has chosen to make
war against the Confederate monuments that line Monument
Avenue in Richmond and against the thousands of
descendants of Confederate Veterans that they represent
and honor, diverting precious resources and taxpayer
money away from the real and pressing matters facing the
Capital of the Confederacy, and creating division and
disharmony in our community.
Thankfully,
the Commonwealth has a law that protects ALL war
memorials, and also prevents them from being
altered.
I read this the other day at:

One of my favorite parts:
" Why should the least productive, most criminal, most dependent of the population rewrite history that in any event they don’t know? The erasure of the South and the Confederacy by people most of whom couldn’t spell it, of Washington and Jefferson and Lee by grifters, race hustlers, wanton illiterates and the Brownshirts of Black Lives Matter…enough."
:) Indeed. I post almost everyone of his. He's a gem.
DeleteThere is a nothing they can add to monument avenue. Whatever it is they are thinking of some stupid mural or more statues of other than white folks it will add zero context to the sites and most likely look stupid as hell
