Inland Manufacturing 30 M-1 Carbine

You can now buy a newly manufactured Inland M-1 30 Carbine–we’ll get to that in a minute but before we do some background is appropriate.

The .30 M-1 Carbine was used by the U.S. Military in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The carbine was supplied to allied forces and hung around long after Vietnam. I encountered the M-1 carbine in service with the Bolivian UMOPAR counter-drug police in the 1990s. These fun guns remain popular and effective for civilians today.

  1. Before buying one of them Y'all should look at the now hundreds of reviews on Inland Manufacturing (NOT WW2!!! Modern Reproduction). They now have the reputation as out of spec. poorly made cheap junk. Nuttin' Fancy has one JAM, and jam,and jam. Over and over dozens of times even AFTER sending back to be fixed. They also have NO RESALE value. INLAND MANUFACTURING are MODERN MADE REPRODUCTIONS Not WW2 original, and they are junk.--Ray

  2. I owned a WW-II vintage M-1 carbine back in the 1960s so I was interested in maybe owning one of these. I looked at one of these in a local gun store recently. No bayonet lug. That ruins the whole original profile.

  3. S V provincial forces had the carbines in the fully automatic version...I am not sure but I thought they were called M 2's.

    1. They were. I had a M2 which I had to leave along with other weapons on evacuation.

  4. Perhaps I am totally wrong, and probably stepping in it, but I cannot help but feel at $1100.00, these are a total rip-off. These guns are nothing “special,” they are a .30 Cal. semi-automatic. No design cost, no testing cost, no research cost, that has all been done. At the very most, they should sell for a price comparable to the Ruger Mini’s. However, honestly they should be more in the $500-$650 range. But they are charging a “M1” name premium and doubling the cost. Great guns, I’d love to have one. However to me, this cost is a rip-off, because they stamp the “M1” name on it and that name, has a history that is in demand.

  5. If you have an M-1 Carbine you also need a 30 cal pistol to go with it. I am surprised that they are going for $1100 now.

I had one back in the 80's that I have had seller's remorse to this day.
