I thought excellent. I have the .357 LCR (17 ounces unloaded)and shoot max loads. Renting one at the range might be a good way to follow through on this advice since you have no choice but to hold on for dear life:) Obviously it kicks badly, but also stings your hand quite a bit which I have never experienced before.
My buddy has one of those. I'll have to talk him into lending it to me. He likes the top end self defense loads that I roll for him. I can practice with those a lot cheaper than factory. I may even have some old 180 grain silhouette loads stashed away. Those were wicked even in a heavier wheelgun...........
I use Speer LE 158 gr. GDHP. I was thinking, maybe next time, I'll back away from the line and fire as I purposely move forward so my body is attacking the object.
Maybe that's my problem.........
