A man was beaten to death early Sunday morning in Des Moines.
Police were called to a parking lot near Wells Fargo Arena about 1 a.m. Sunday by a female reporting an assault.
Officers found Richard Daughenbaugh, 40 of Des Moines, severely beaten in the lot, according to a news release. The man was taken to Methodist Medical Center where he died.
