Attorney General Eric Holder said the stand-your-ground policies that are law in some states defy common sense, according to the Associated Press.
"It's
time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of
self-defense and sow dangerous conflict in our neighborhoods," he said
while speaking at an NAACP convention in Florida.
Stand-your-ground
laws across the country have attracted more scrutiny since the shooting
of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman faced a charge of
second-degree murder after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, but was
acquitted Saturday.
"There has always been a
legal defense for using deadly force if — and the 'if' is important — no
safe retreat is available," Holder added Tuesday. "But we must examine
laws that take this further by eliminating the common sense and age-old
requirement that people who feel threatened have a duty to retreat,
outside their home, if they can do so safely."
No.......Eric Holder defies common sense. Not that he'd know common sense, even if it bitch slapped him in the face.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm just being pisssy. I truely believe Holder knows exactly what he is doing and his goals are in line with his presidents goals.

And this is one idiot that runs around with goons armed to the teeth, with license to maim or kill anyone that THEY deem to be a threat to his esteemed self?

DeletePrecisely, as they all are.
As white men, aren't our civil rights being violated, when a duly elected or appointed representative of "all" of the citizens of the U S speaks to one ethnic group only, where whites are definitely not wanted or invited ?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, but if they would just leave us alone, it would be fine by me. Seems like someone else requested that many moons ago..........
DeletePersonally I think there are a lot of retarded people from the media, the prosecution and Holder talking about the stand your ground law and Zimmerman. The Zimmerman defense did not need to use the stand your ground law...they used simple self defense arguments. Do all these thugs think that repeating a lie long enough will convert it to the truth?
