What is ObamaCare if not an attempt to get doctors and patients to conduct one of life’s most private activities, medical treatment, along the lines of government dictates? What is Common Core, the proposal to create national educational standards, if not an attempt to snuff out competing views on what children need to learn to become fully intellectually formed? The reach of government even goes so far as dictating the offerings and calorie content of school lunches under First Lady Michelle Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act.

DC Navy Yard - The Navy is approximately 20% African American. Washington DC demographics are 50.1% African American. The media video in/around the Navy Yard show a very large African American Naval Yard employee representation. But almost every victim was WHITE.

 The GOP should pass a CR that includes a provision mandating that the Affordable Care Act be implemented as passed. Remove all the delays, waivers and exemptions Obama has spent years granting. We passed it and we know what's in it, implement the law as written, voted on and signed. No delay in the employer mandate, no carve out for unions, no pass for congressional staffers.

Give the cops a .38 revolver and a bad clip-on tie and they seem able to handle situations without having to shoot people. You give them tactical gear and an armored vehicle, and suddenly the casings are bouncing off the sidewalk... Now that they can just shoot folks, they don't really have to worry about getting hurt, and thus don't really make much of an effort to defuse a situation.

 We're carrying some very unnatural equilibriums right now, as you and I both know.  Where is the energy to maintain that levitation coming from?  I believe it's coming from burning the middle class to provide the fuel.  When the middle class is gone, this insane engine stops running and we end up..... where?  The modern version of the dark ages, perhaps?

 The NSA missed the Boston Marathon bombers, even though the suspects left a really sloppy Internet trail and the older brother was on the terrorist watch list. With all the NSA is doing eavesdropping on the world, you would think the least it could manage would be keeping track of people on the terrorist watch list. Apparently not. I don't know how the CIA measures its success, but it failed to predict the end of the Cold War.
