Cardinal Burke referenced his remarks about Pelosi to Canon Law--the law governing the Catholic Church--and specifically Canon 915, which says those Catholics who obstinately persevere “in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”

She should at least get the wine I can dye my piss red or take pyridium and it will at least be orange.
ReplyDeleteNow I'd support that!
DeleteThis sounds more like a strong opinion than an actual Vatican ruling. Already, the Archbishop of DC says he will not deny Pelosi communion because the church shouldn't use communion as a "weapon". If it's a Vatican opinion, then the Archbishop is free to flout Canon 915 and Cardinal Burke's "opinion". However, if it is an edict, a ruling, then the Archbishop could be slapped down, relieved, etc. No?
ReplyDeleteSounds correct, but I am not familiar with the religion.
