  1. I never heard of Buddy Guy, but I sure do like him - clicked on another one of his songs after Long Way From Home ended - 5 Long Years - made me want to cry (

  2. That's Stevie's brother Jimmy playing rhythm guitar and the rest of the band is Double Trouble...Stevie's band...probably the tightest band ever.

I saw SRV and DT only once in concert, in Muncie, Indiana.

    Them boys could boogie!

  3. WOW! Brock, I love it when you post some good music first thing of the day. A cup of strong, black coffee and Free North Carolina, what a great eye opener!

  7. Thanks and I didn't know he died down here. The good die young. For some reason this reminded me of James Brown.

  9. After reading your story on Namsouth about Brown, he is also one amazing man - makes the Soul shake both of them.

  11. you don't need to do it by the campfire - closer to the house, I was thinking .... so for those who want to talk by the campfire then you can still do that, too.

    1. Could put it on the back porch, but like I said, I'm not sure if I have anything there to play it. I'll ask Dixie.

  12. Oh, I see - you are talking about a player, and not electricity - that is a whole other kettle of fish, Ollie!

  13. I have a Dewalt boom box that has an auxiliary jack to plug in mP3 players/iPods and uses cordless drill batteries for juice when not plugged into an AC outlet.

    1. Hey, Susan, Zoomie just volunteered to come to the Fall PATCON and bring his Boom Box, so you can hear the Eagles! How kind of him and we all will be eagerly expecting him.......! :) I knew there must be kindness in his cold, Yankee heart........:) Wait a minute, it's a DVD, so that won't work. Oh well, his heart is still in the right place and we do still expect his presence!
