By Wm. Dwight McKissic, Sr., Cornerstone Baptist Church, Arlington, TX

WHEREAS, SBC President Ronnie Floyd has rallied Southern Baptists to “rise up and cry out
against the racism that still exists in our nation and our churches,” recognizing we are in a “desperate hour” that calls us to “replace these evils with the beauty of grace and love;”[1] and

    1. Amen. I've mentioned to put a cheap one in my coffin, so the good one can fly longer.

  3. This is the main reason why I no longer go to church. The true men of faith, intellect and reason have all been replaced with marxists by another name. Any mention of the historical sacrifices of those who came before us are quickly thrown by the wayside in order for us to be browbeaten over things that happened over 150 years ago.
I bumped into our priest a few weeks ago while at our local bakery. While there he asked me why he hadn't seen me at Sunday mass in quite a while. I told him that with all of his going on about this "injustice" and that so called "injustice" I got tired of church sounding exactly like the globalist tripe on CNN. He was taken aback and asked me, "Are those people not God's children as well?" I shook my head and told him, "Father, myself and people like me are worried about what's happening to our country and our community. We're worried about what we're going to be leaving our grand kids, we really couldn't care less about what's happening to people who hate us anyway." He got preachy and said, "Our savior taught us to turn the other cheek, did he not?" "Yes he did." I replied, "He also never left any instructions on what to do AFTER that." "As far as people like me are concerned." I told him, "We turned the other cheek after the Boston Marathon bombing and as I recall, our savior wasn't too keen on giving the money lenders the other cheek in the temple. That one somehow never gets mentioned anymore." I told him that I know attendance at his Sunday services is getting smaller and smaller and yet he can't seem to understand why. I told him, "Until you stop with all of this PC garbage, your flock will continue to desert you." He looked indignant and I knew then that he'd never get it. I told the Mrs. that if I should leave this world anytime soon, that that man is not to come anywhere near my casket. I may be a Copperhead, but long live the south and her children!
