It wasn't that long ago that a cop in America wouldn't have even considered pointing his weapon at a citizen unless he was 100% sure the citizen was a criminal. Heck, he would have been disciplined for doing so. Today the orders to pretend to be military and to act like this come from the same people who would have disciplined these loose cannons in the past.
