Survival Bootcamp Preview: Bugging Out

One of the biggest controversies in the survival community is should you bug in or bug out, and there are countless arguments for both options. Your decision should be based on what makes sense and not what is more convenient.

Do not hesitate and get out while you can at the first sign of trouble. In the worst case scenario you have made the trip to your BOL (or friends or family located outside of the urban area) for no reason. In the best case scenario this trip has saved your life.

  1. Great article! Something for those of us in the rurals/country within a 100mile perimeter of a city to think about is a mass exodus from said city. Some country folk aren't going to take too kindly to masses of desperate strangers trespassing on their land let alone if there's milita oriented patrol elements for the security of a community.
    Plan. Carefully.

  2. Yes and can't help any or you would be endangering your family.

  3. True, the moral debate about helping is nigh endless. The Christian in me would/could when possible: its a bridge that would have to be crossed when its time.

  4. Agreed, but I would be very careful of wolves in sheep clothing.

  5. These comments seem to be very specific to urban / suburban bug outs. His article makes a lot of great points and common sense - thanks for linking this to us.
